What is Your Y, Your Way?
Community-Driven Plan Connecting Residents to Work, Health, and Daily Life
Your Y, Your Way is Yavapai Plan’s (YPLan) Coordinated Public Transit-Human Services Transportation Plan. It focuses on the transportation needs of older adults (age 65+), people with disabilities, and people with low income. Your Y, Your Way also focuses on the transportation needs of veterans and job seekers.
Through a combination of technical analysis, funding assessment, and community engagement, Your Y, Your Way translates community input and data into targeted strategies, prioritized actions, and implementation pathways that advance a more connected and resilient regional mobility network, helping greater Yavapai County residents get where they need to go., Strategies in Your Y Your Way will make it easier for residents to get to work, school, healthcare, and other pieces of daily life.
The Study Includes:
- Inventory of existing transportation options
- Review of demographic data
- Identification of gaps and unmet needs
- Strategies to address transportation needs
- How to fund these strategies
- Priorities for implementation
For any agency or organization seeking to apply for federal funding, all transportation projects must be identified in the Coordinated Plan to be eligible.
Upcoming Community Events
YPlan is taking its Coordinated Human Services Public Transit Plan on the road! Community members are invited to attend an upcoming meeting to learn more about the plan, ask questions, and join the conversation about local transportation needs.
Multiple in-person, hybrid, and virtual meeting options are available throughout August and September. The same information will be shared at each event, so choose the location and time that works best for you.

Coordinated Plans
YPlan Needs Assestment
Coordinated Public Transit–Human Services Transportation Plans (Coordinated Plans) are designed to improve transportation options for older adults, people with disabilities and people with low-incomes by fostering collaboration and coordination between human service transportation providers and public transit to align their efforts with funding sources. This plan is a federal requirement for agencies accessing funding through the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Section 5310: Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities program.

What is the Timeline?
Roadmap of Project Phases
Your Y, Your Way kicked off in July 2025 and is expected to wrap up in summer 2026. The project has three phases: (1) Priorities, Needs, and Opportunities; (2) Draft Concepts and Strategies; and (3) Final Plan. Your Y, Your Way is currently in Phase 2.
